This is a day of fun on the water for all ducky paddlers on the South Fork of the South Platte River near Deckers! Both beginners and more experienced boaters are encouraged to join. While this event is open to everyone, we require non-members to sign a waiver—and we certainly hope you'll consider joining.
Please note that this location is subject to appropriate water levels; we will provide a final confirmation as the date approaches.
10:00 am
Meet at the North Fork Trail Parking Lot.
10:00 am - 10:15 am
Break into driving groups.
10:15 am - 10:30 am
Drive our vehicles, gear and duckies to the small parking lot. (Just south of the Ouzel Campground).
10:30 am - 11:00 am
Inflate duckies, get rigged and orientation talk.
11:00 am
Launch time! While this is a great beginner IK trip, it does include one short rapid through 'The Chutes' that requires a bit more focus. Click here to watch a short video.

Kerry Koch brings nearly 20 years of whitewater expertise to our annual Ducky Day. A veteran of the Arkansas River’s Browns Canyon and Royal Gorge, Kerry is also a fixture on the Colorado River, having paddled the technical challenges of Gore Canyon over 50 times.
